A Day in Lyon

Morning

-wake up and grab a coffee at one of the many amazing coffee shops of Lyon (ie don’t go to Starbucks!)

-grab a pastry at a local boulangerie

-Go up to Fourvière and visit the basilica cathedral

-visit the Roman amphitheater next to Fourvière

Afternoon

-walk back down across the bridge, Passerelle du Palais de Justice, and grab lunch at l’Epicerie for a toasted open faced sandwich and salad

-walk around rue mercière et rue Édouard Herriot near Place Jacobins to soak up all the shops and sites

-stroll through Vieux Lyon (the Old Town) and get an ice cream at terre adelice

-visit the traboules or hidden passageways in Vieux Lyon

-visit parc de la tête d’or (there’s a zoo inside and a lake)

Evening

-have dinner at a French restaurant in Place Sathonay: Sathonay or Bel Ami

-visit the newly remodelled Hôtel Dieu for a cocktail at L’Officine

-go to the Maison Nô rooftop hotel bar for a view across from Hôtel de Ville
